Air 9000 — Upgrade of CH-47D Chinook

Air 9000 Phase 5A replaced the engines in the ADF CH-47D Chinook. The new engines improved performance and lowered operating costs, as well as providing commonality with the US Army CH-47D.

Initially contracted by Sikorsky Helitech, the principal of Interactive Technical conducted a review of CH-47D field maintenance publications. This led to a position within DMO, cooinciding with the Air 9000 Phase 5A engine upgrade to create the ADF's first XML IETM publication. The full suite of CH-47D field maintenance manuals were then upgraded to XML IETM specification over the following years.
